- Currently, there is no possibility to regulate prices for Yandex.Taxi services. This was stated by the chairman of the Antimonopoly Regulation Service, Aibek Mamyraliev, at a meeting of the Committee of the Jogorku Kenesh on financial, budgetary, entrepreneurial, and competition development issues, held on March 9.

During the discussion, one of the deputies asked about possible plans to regulate the commission charged by the service.

Mamyraliev noted that at the moment, price regulation does not seem feasible; however, after the relevant amendments to the legislation are adopted, such an opportunity will arise.

At that time, a draft law "On Competition," proposed by the chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic, was being considered for its first reading.
Note:

A draft law "On Pricing" is currently under consideration in the Jogorku Kenesh.

This draft law was developed by the Ministry of Economy.

In the explanatory note from the ministry, it is stated that according to the current version of the pricing law, there is a ban on state regulation of prices for services, except for natural monopolies, state services, and the disposal of solid household waste.

According to the ministry, this ban "prevents measures from being taken to curb the growth of tariffs for works and services." Therefore, the Ministry of Economy proposes to exclude this provision.
