- In February, the Jogorku Kenesh plans to consider a draft law concerning amendments to the KR law "On Pricing," according to information posted on the parliament's website.

The initiator of the amendments is the Ministry of Economy.

In the explanatory note from the ministry, it is specified that the current version of the pricing law prohibits state regulation of prices for all services, except for natural monopolies, state services, and the disposal of solid household waste.

According to the ministry, this prohibition "prevents the implementation of measures aimed at curbing the growth of tariffs for services and works." In this regard, the Ministry of Economy proposes to lift the specified prohibition.

The Antimonopoly Regulation Service carries out functions related to the implementation of pricing policy in all sectors of the economy, except for the fuel and energy complex.
