British investors confirmed their readiness to launch new projects in the Kyrgyz Republic
At the event, which gathered around 60 participants, high-profile officials, representatives of international financial institutions, and leaders of major companies were present. The delegation from Kyrgyzstan included Foreign Minister Jeenbek Kulubaev, National Bank Chairman Melis Turgunbaev, as well as deputy ministers of economy and finance. From the UK, the discussion involved the trade representative of the Prime Minister, Lord John Elderdice, and the Managing Director of the EBRD for Central Asia, Huseyin Ozhan. The moderator of the meeting was Askar Sydykov, acting executive director of the International Business Council.

During the meeting, representatives of well-known companies such as Boston Consulting Group, Citibank, Societe Generale, and EY discussed potential investments in Kyrgyzstan's economy, paying special attention to successful examples of British investments in construction and climate projects. Participants also explored opportunities for cooperation in the extraction of critical minerals, the development of the banking sector, and leveraging London’s potential for Kyrgyz companies to access international stock markets.

Representatives from the IT, agro-industrial complex, and logistics sectors noted the growing interest in the region. Co-chair of the council Askar Sydykov noted that joint projects in industry and education are already being implemented in Kyrgyzstan. As a result of the meeting, an agreement was reached to expand business contacts and launch new initiatives aimed at strengthening trade and economic ties between Bishkek and London.
