In the capital of Kyrgyzstan, large-scale work is currently underway to renovate the tourist complex "Sayakat" and the hotel "Dostuk." According to information from the Directorate, which is subordinate to the Office of the President of the Kyrgyz Republic, significant foreign investments are being allocated for the renovation projects of these facilities. In particular, a Russian company has already invested 5 million dollars in "Sayakat," and for the complete renovation of "Dostuk," an amount ranging from 15 to 25 million dollars is planned to be invested.
Before the facilities were transferred to the Directorate, they had long been in a neglected state: worn-out engineering networks and emergency electrical systems posed a fire safety threat. As part of the agreements made with investors, a complete modernization of the buildings is being carried out, including the renewal of roofs, facades, as well as heating, water supply, and sewage systems. Additionally, modern energy-efficient equipment that meets international safety standards is being installed.
Significant attention is also being paid to the legal and financial aspects of the projects. After the transfer of "Dostuk" to the state, 35.59% of the shares, which were previously owned by a private shareholder, were returned. Despite the fact that the hotel will be closed during the renovation, the investor has committed to paying rent of 40.8 million soms annually. In the future, a significant increase in this amount is expected: from the end of 2027, it will rise to 80.5 million soms, and from 2029, it will reach a record 100.9 million soms per year.
This agreement has become the most economically viable in the entire history of the hotel complex. Upon completion of the work, "Sayakat" and "Dostuk" are expected to become modern architectural landmarks that will take their rightful place in the appearance of the capital and offer a high level of service to their guests.
