In Bishkek, work continues on the major renovation of the Sayakat tourist complex and the Dostuk hotel complex.
As part of the modernization project for the "Sayakat" tourist complex, a Russian company has invested $5 million. Regarding the "Dostuk" hotel complex, between $15 and $25 million has been allocated for its complete renovation.
Before these facilities were transferred to the Directorate's management, they had not undergone comprehensive repairs for many years and required significant modernization.
“The technical condition of the buildings has significantly deteriorated over time, the engineering networks have become outdated, and some parts have reached an emergency state. In particular, the electrical networks and equipment did not meet modern safety requirements. The wear of the wiring and insufficient power created fire risks and threatened the safety of guests and staff. Additionally, the plumbing and sewage systems had not been updated for many years,” the official statement said.
During the major renovation, according to the signed investment agreements, the electrical systems will be completely updated, and modern and safe equipment will be installed. The water supply and sewage systems will also be modernized using technologies that meet current standards. Furthermore, work will be carried out on the repair of roofs, facades, and interior spaces, as well as the restoration of heating systems.
The timely start of work by investors not only reduces risks but also allows the hotel complexes to comply with international standards. In the near future, the "Sayakat" tourist complex and the "Dostuk" hotel will be able to take their rightful place among the most significant facilities in the city.
After the transfer of the "Dostuk" hotel to the Directorate's management, 35.59% of the shares, previously owned by a private shareholder, were returned to the state.
It should be noted that during the renovation process, the "Dostuk" hotel will not operate. Nevertheless, the investor who signed the investment agreement and long-term lease contract is obliged not only to invest significant funds in the renovation but also to timely pay rent in the amount of 40 million 800 thousand soms per year. From the fourth quarter of 2027, the rent will increase to 80 million 580 thousand soms per year, and from the fourth quarter of 2029 until 2049, it will amount to 100 million 900 thousand soms per year. This agreement is the most advantageous project for the "Dostuk" hotel in its entire history.
