In Bishkek, work continues on the major renovation of the hotel complex "Dostuk" and the tourist complex "Sayakat." As reported, these activities are organized by the Directorate for the Management of Sanatorium-Resort, Health and Tourist Facilities, which is under the management of the President of Kyrgyzstan.
As part of the project, a complete modernization of infrastructure and engineering systems is planned, as well as attracting significant investments, which in turn will lead to an increase in rental income to the budget. This is expected to raise the standards of the facilities to international levels and strengthen the tourist potential of the capital.
Regarding the tourist complex "Sayakat," a Russian investor has invested 5 million US dollars. For the "Dostuk" hotel, the investment volume for complete renovation ranges from 15 to 25 million US dollars. After the transfer of the "Dostuk" hotel to the management of the Directorate, 35.59% of the shares, previously owned by a private shareholder, were returned to the state.
During the renovation, the "Dostuk" hotel will be closed to guests. Nevertheless, the investor is obliged to timely pay rental fees amounting to 40 million 800 thousand soms per year. Starting from the fourth quarter of 2027, the rent will double to 80 million 580 thousand soms per year, and from the fourth quarter of 2029 to 2049, it will increase to 100 million 900 thousand soms per year.
"This agreement is the most profitable and economically justified project in the history of the 'Dostuk' hotel complex," representatives of the institution note.
For many years, these complexes have not undergone serious repairs and were in urgent need of modernization. The condition of the buildings has deteriorated over time, the engineering networks have become outdated, and some parts have fallen into disrepair. In particular, the electrical systems and equipment did not meet modern safety requirements, creating a risk of fire and endangering the lives of guests and staff. Additionally, the sewage and water supply networks have also not been updated for many years.During the major renovation, according to the agreements concluded with the investors, a complete modernization of the electrical systems will be carried out, and safe and energy-efficient equipment will be installed. The water supply and sewage systems will be updated using modern equipment. The roof, facades, and interior spaces will also be completely renovated, and the heating systems will be restored.
The timely commencement of repair work by the investors will allow the hotel complexes to meet international standards, and soon "Sayakat" and "Dostuk" will take their rightful place among the largest tourist facilities.
