Weekly fairs organized by local producers continue in Bishkek and across the country, as reported by the Ministry of Water Resources, Agriculture, and Processing Industry. The schedule of events has already been approved and will be in effect until June 2026.
The ministry's press service emphasizes that food supplies in the republic are at a satisfactory level, and there is currently no shortage of essential goods. The goal of holding fairs is to provide the domestic market with quality products at prices lower than market rates, as well as to support socially vulnerable groups of the population.
In the capital, fairs traditionally take place on weekends—Saturday and Sunday—with active participation from the Bishkek city administration. The trading points are located at the following addresses:
T. Usubaliev Square (corner of I. Razzakov and Abdymomunov streets);Erkindik Boulevard (Pervomaisky District);Embankment of the Vostok-5 microdistrict.
Organizers remind participants of the necessity to strictly adhere to all requirements: the products sold must meet sanitary and hygienic standards, and price tags must be present on the counters. To confirm their status, participants must have a letter from the district agricultural management.
This format of direct trade without intermediaries helps to curb price increases and maintain stability in the country's food market.
