According to information announced by the press service of the Ministry of Water Resources, Agriculture, and Processing Industry, local producer fairs will be held in Bishkek and across the country until June 2026. These events will feature socially significant food products.
The ministry emphasized that there is no shortage of essential goods in the country, and stocks remain at an acceptable level. The fairs are intended to ensure the stable operation of the domestic market and provide residents with quality products at affordable prices.
Every weekend in Bishkek, fairs are held in cooperation with the local mayor's office, where residents can purchase food products at prices lower than market rates.
The main goals of the fairs include curbing price increases, ensuring product accessibility for socially vulnerable groups, supporting local producers, and maintaining stability in the domestic market.
The trading venues in the capital are located at T. Usubaliev Square, at the intersection of I. Razzakov and Abdymomunov streets, and on Erkindik Boulevard in the Pervomaisky District.
Participants in the fairs must adhere to a number of mandatory requirements: their products must meet sanitary and hygienic standards, prices must be lower than market rates, and a confirming letter from the district agricultural administration is also required.
