In 2026, 37 insurance claims were registered, and the total payout amounted to 10 million soms, - State Insurance Organization
Deputy Chairman of the State Insurance Organization Baktygul Abdyjaliev presented the following data:
- In 2024, 240 insurance cases were registered, with a total payout amounting to 37 million soms;
- In 2025, the number of insurance cases increased to 247, with payouts totaling 32 million soms;
- As of now in 2026, 37 cases have been registered, with payouts amounting to 10 million soms.
Parliamentarians noted that the volume of payments made remains relatively low compared to the number of insured properties and the risks of natural disasters that exist in the country.
In this regard, the necessity to enhance explanatory work among the population and to expand coverage of mandatory insurance, especially in rural and seismically hazardous regions, was proposed.
This issue was discussed in the context of the draft Law "On Amendments to Certain Legislative Acts of the Kyrgyz Republic (to the Civil Code, Law on Mandatory Insurance of Residential Properties Against Fire and Natural Disasters)," which was presented for its first reading.
