A geoinformation system for veterinary monitoring is being developed in the Kyrgyz Republic. Why is this important?
The project to create a unified geoinformation system for accounting and monitoring outbreaks of anthrax, known as the GIS "SUMO," has been initiated in Kyrgyzstan. This information was provided by the press service of the Ministry of Water Resources, Agriculture, and Processing Industry of the Kyrgyz Republic.

The project is being implemented by the State Institution "AgroSmart," which is part of this ministry's structure. The main goal of the project is to improve epizootic surveillance, respond quickly to threats of infectious disease spread among animals, and further digitize the veterinary sector of the country.

The GIS "SUMO" is a modern web application that serves as a unified tool for visualizing, accounting, monitoring, and analytical processing of data on the veterinary and sanitary situation in Kyrgyzstan. The project includes the following key aspects:
