8.5 billion soms were allocated for capital investments — 357 projects implemented
In 2025, the Osh region received over 8 billion 543 million soms from the government, which were directed towards capital investments in 357 projects. This was reported by Adylbek Kasymaliev, the chairman of the cabinet of ministers, during a meeting of the president's representative office.
According to Kasymaliev, the funds were allocated for the construction and repair of 133 educational institutions, 57 kindergartens, 17 medical facilities, and 35 cultural and sports complexes, totaling about 3.7 billion soms.
That same year, 114 infrastructure projects were involved. 82 roads received full funding amounting to 4 billion 348 million soms, including 2.2 billion soms allocated for the Uzgen–Myrzake–Kara-Kulja road. For 13 water supply projects and 19 irrigation systems, 317.9 million soms were allocated.
“The head of the cabinet of ministers also noted that 1 billion 329.2 million soms were transferred to support local budgets in the region, resulting in a total revenue from the republican budget to the region for 2025 of about 11 billion soms,” the press service of the cabinet of ministers reported.
According to the information, the region's budget revenues increased from 4 billion 731 million soms in 2024 to 6 billion 447 million soms in 2025. However, this is still insufficient for the sustainable development of the region. Kasymaliev emphasized the low level of industrial production and gave a number of instructions: to improve the quality of goods, increase exports, more actively implement public-private partnership projects, support private initiatives, create favorable conditions for investors both local and foreign, and also develop the processing of agricultural products.
