Osh Region Received 8.5 Billion Som for Capital Investments in 2025

Last year, in 2024, the Osh region received funding of 8 billion 543 million soms for capital investments, of which 8.1 billion was fully utilized. These funds were distributed across 357 different projects. This was reported by Prime Minister Adylbek Kasymaliev during a meeting dedicated to the results of the work of the presidential representative in the region for the year 2025.







In particular, 3.7 billion soms were allocated for 242 social projects, which allowed for the construction and renovation of 133 schools, 57 kindergartens, 17 medical institutions, and 35 cultural and sports facilities. Additionally, work was financed on 114 infrastructure projects, including 82 roads, which cost 4 billion 348 million soms. For the road Uzgen — Myrzake — Kara-Kuldja, 2 billion 200 million soms were allocated, and an additional 317 million 900 thousand soms were directed towards projects for providing clean water and irrigation.

Furthermore, the region received 1 billion 329 million soms in transfers to support local budgets. As a result, approximately 11 billion soms flowed into the region from the republican budget.

The Prime Minister emphasized that the revenues of the regional budget increased from 4 billion 731 million soms in 2024 to 6 billion 447 million soms in 2025. However, he noted that the growth rates are still insufficient.

As a result of the work, the Uzgen and Chon-Alai districts were rated as "good," while the activities of the entire Osh region received a satisfactory rating.
