Kasymaiev spoke about the achievements and problems of the districts in the Osh region for the year 2025
“In 2025, the Osh region received state support amounting to 8 billion 543 million soms for capital investments, of which 8.1 billion soms have already been utilized. These funds were distributed across 357 facilities,” said the Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers and Head of the President's Administration of the Kyrgyz Republic, Adylbek Kasymaliev, during his speech at the meeting of the President's representative office in the Osh region, summarizing the work done in 2025.
Kasymaliev also noted that of the allocated funds, 3.7 billion soms were directed to 242 social facilities, including the construction and renovation of 133 schools, 57 kindergartens, 17 healthcare facilities, as well as 35 cultural and sports complexes.
“In 2025, work was carried out on 114 infrastructure facilities, and 4 billion 348 million soms allocated for 82 roads were fully utilized. In particular, 2.2 billion soms were directed to the Uzgen–Myrzake–Kara-Kulja road, and 317.9 million soms were allocated for 13 water supply facilities and 19 irrigation projects,” he added, emphasizing that 1 billion 329.2 million soms were allocated to support local budgets, and a total of about 11 billion soms flowed into the Osh region from the republican budget in 2025.
According to Kasymaliev, the budget of the Osh region in 2024 amounted to 4 billion 731 million soms, while in 2025 actual revenues reached 6 billion 447 million soms, which is 2.3 billion soms more than in 2024. Despite this, he noted that this is not enough and reviewed the achievements and shortcomings of each district in detail.
“The Osh region occupies a significant place in the economic and social progress of the country; however, productivity remains low. In 2025, the gross industrial output in Talas amounted to 51 billion soms, while in the Osh region it was 22.8 billion soms, which is 2.3 times less,” he concluded, giving a number of instructions. In particular, it was proposed to improve the quality of industrial goods, intensify export efforts, develop public-private partnership projects, and create favorable conditions for investors.
“It is necessary to intensify investment attraction, ensure the launch of large economic projects, and promote initiatives for the revival of idle production. It is important to focus on processing agricultural products and developing high value-added production,” summarized Adylbek Kasymaliev, assessing the work of the Uzgen and Chon-Alai districts as “good,” while the Osh region was rated as “satisfactory” based on the results of the past year.
