During the meeting of the Committee of the Jogorku Kenesh on industrial policy, transport, and construction, the First Deputy Minister of Transport and Communications Beknazar Bazaraliyev announced plans for 2026. According to him, the total budget for road construction will amount to 39 billion 111 million soms.
Of this amount, 1.5 billion soms will be allocated for the internal roads of Karakol from the stabilization fund. Additionally, within the framework of capital investments, 20 billion 680 million soms are planned, of which 17 billion 680 million soms will be directed to the construction of the Barskoon–Bedel road. The road fund has been allocated 7 billion 949 million soms, and this amount may increase with the arrival of additional funds.
The asphalting of 457 kilometers of roads is planned in the following regions:
- Chui Region – 83 km
- Naryn Region – 74 km
- Talas Region – 61 km
- Issyk-Kul Region – 58 km
- Osh Region – 76 km
- Jalal-Abad Region – 65 km
- Batken Region – 37.4 km
