In 2025, the Ministry of Transport built and repaired over 1,500 kilometers of roads
At the meeting, the deputies were informed about the current state of roads and internal highways across the country.
The Deputy Minister reported that the Ministry of Transport is responsible for the maintenance of more than 19,000 kilometers of roads, of which only 6,800 kilometers have asphalt surfaces.
In 2025, the ministry's budget amounted to 57 billion 128.6 million soms. The Road Fund received 12 billion 658 million soms over the year, of which the ministry was allocated 11 billion 525 million 997 thousand soms. For comparison, in 2024, the fund received 5 billion 846 million 849 thousand soms.
Bazaraliev emphasized that last year the Ministry of Transport was able to construct and repair 1,606 kilometers of roads, of which asphalt concrete was laid on 1,545 kilometers.
He also noted that these results show significant growth compared to previous years: in 2021, only 175 kilometers were repaired, in 2022 — 488, in 2023 — 673, and in 2024 — 802 kilometers.
