The State Tax Service reminded about the deadline for legalizing jewelry until March 1

The State Tax Service of Kyrgyzstan reminds that there are 16 days left until March 1 of this year for the legalization of jewelry items imported earlier or produced without primary documents. This allows entrepreneurs to avoid liability and fulfill their obligations as tax agents.

Reduced rates of assay fees are provided for legalized items. In particular, for gold, platinum, and palladium items, both domestically produced and imported, including used ones, the fee is 10 soms per item. For silver items, the rate is 8 soms per unit.

To undergo legalization, the taxpayer must submit an electronic document through the electronic invoice information system on the website. In the system, it is necessary to select the "Acquisition" section, then the DPBU subsection, and click the "Add" button. Next, the details of the precious jewelry items must be specified, including name, weight, quantity, and fineness.

After selecting the option, the main details are generated automatically, and the user only needs to fill in the product part. The product code must correspond to the unified Commodity Nomenclature of Foreign Economic Activity of the Eurasian Economic Union. It is recommended to add the type of item and its fineness, for example, "gold ring 585 fineness" or "silver earrings 925 fineness."

Each product line must contain the unit of measurement, quantity, price per unit, and total cost. The product name must be pre-entered in the directory in the "Profile" section, subsection "Goods and Services."

It is important to note that the electronic document cannot be corrected or canceled, so all provided data must be complete and accurate.

After submitting the data into the system, taxpayers must contact the Tax Service's Precious Metals Department to complete the testing and marking procedure for the items.

Additionally, according to the decision of the Cabinet of Ministers, the voluntary patent for this category of activity has been canceled. Now, entrepreneurs engaged in precious metals and jewelry must apply a simplified taxation system with a rate of 0.25% and use cash registers.
