The State Tax Service of the Kyrgyz Republic has informed taxpayers about the possibility of legalizing the remaining jewelry made of precious metals that were imported or manufactured earlier, even in the absence of primary documents. This provides an opportunity to be exempt from liability and obligations as a tax agent.
The agency emphasized that this measure is aimed at organizing the jewelry market, creating more transparent conditions for business, and reducing the administrative burden on conscientious taxpayers.
During the legalization period, reduced rates for assay fees for testing and marking products are provided. For gold, platinum, and palladium jewelry, both domestic and foreign, including used items, the fee will be 10 soms for each item. For silver items, the rate is 8 soms.
To take advantage of the exemption from liability, it is necessary to issue an electronic document in the electronic invoice system by March 1, 2026.
To do this, the taxpayer should log into the system, go to the "Acquisition" section and the DPBU subsection, click "Add," and select the option to enter data about precious jewelry items. As a result, the main details will be generated automatically, and only the product part of the document will need to be filled out.
The tax service emphasized that the electronic document cannot be changed and is not subject to cancellation, making it important to enter all data correctly and without errors.
