These concessions will be in effect until December 31, 2026, and apply to volumes of up to 5 thousand tons.
The preferential regime concerns:
- fresh and chilled meat (HS code EAEU 0201);
- frozen meat (HS code EAEU 0202).
To obtain the concession, a document confirming compliance with the requirements from the authorized body of the member state is required. This document must specify the importers, as well as the names and volumes of supplies.
It is important to note that the imported meat must be used exclusively as raw material for processing enterprises. At the same time, the export of finished products made from this meat to other countries of the union is prohibited.
The EEC believes that this measure will help meet the needs of the domestic market for quality raw materials, support processing, ensure price stability, and enhance food security in the member countries of the union.
