The discussion of issues related to cashless payments took place with the participation of the State Tax Service, banks, and the regulator
At the meeting in the State Tax Service, questions were raised regarding the challenges faced by entrepreneurs in the process of working with cashless payments. The main issues include high fees, delays in fund transfers, and difficulties with banking procedures.
Representatives from the State Tax Service, the National Bank, commercial banks, the Interbank Processing Center, and the Union of Banks of Kyrgyzstan participated in the discussion.
According to information from the tax service, entrepreneurs most often express dissatisfaction with high fees for processing cashless payments, delays in funds arriving in accounts, and the lack of payer information in bank statements when paying via QR codes. Additionally, businesspeople point out excessive requirements from some banks that complicate business operations.
The State Tax Service proposed a number of measures to address the identified issues. These include reducing fees, speeding up fund transfers, increasing transaction transparency, eliminating unnecessary paperwork during audits, and simplifying the process of opening bank accounts. It was also suggested to consider the possibility of using personal wallets for conducting business activities in the digital economy.
As a result of the meeting, specific tasks were set for banks and the regulator to resolve the identified problems. The National Bank and commercial financial institutions expressed their readiness to pay attention to the discussed issues.
