Recently, a meeting organized by the State Tax Service of the Kyrgyz Republic took place, aimed at discussing issues related to cashless payments in the field of entrepreneurship. Participants included representatives from the National Bank, the Interbank Processing Center, the Union of Banks, and various commercial banks.
The press service of the STS reported that current issues raised by representatives of the business community were discussed at the meeting. In particular, topics related to the use of business wallets, POS terminals, bank cards, and QR payments were addressed.
“Among the topics discussed were issues concerning commissions for cashless payments, delays in crediting funds to entrepreneurs' accounts, the lack of information about payers in bank statements for receipts via QR codes, as well as complex requirements and unnecessary procedures that hinder business operations,” the agency noted.
As a result of the meeting, it was proposed to:
- explore the possibility of reducing commissions for entrepreneurs on cashless payments;
- develop technical solutions that ensure quick crediting of funds and transparent information about payments for recipients;
- utilize existing electronic services of the STS to verify the registration of entrepreneurs without the need for paper documents;
- initiate changes in regulatory legal acts to simplify the process of opening bank accounts;
- consider the possibility of amending banking legislation to allow entrepreneurs to use personal wallets for conducting business in the digital economy.
The STS reported that representatives of the National Bank and commercial banks expressed their willingness to consider the raised issues and take necessary measures within their competence.
