At a meeting of the Committee of the Jogorku Kenesh on industrial policy, transport, architecture, and construction, Deputy Minister of Construction Talant Imankun uulu explained why the salaries of employees reach 500,000 soms.
He noted that the profession of architect is considered rare and highly qualified, requiring 6-7 years of training. Private architects earn between 15 to 20 dollars per square meter when developing projects. Previously, drawings were exclusively handled by private specialists until the establishment of the new Department of Architecture.
“We created the Department and attracted the best architects, however, it is necessary to set their salaries according to market standards,” added Imankun uulu.
He also mentioned that there are only 8 technologists in the country, who are particularly important for construction projects in the healthcare sector.
The Deputy Minister emphasized that 2,236 employees of the ministry do not receive funding from the state, as the Ministry of Construction is completely self-sufficient and contributes taxes to the budget.
Additionally, he reported that his own salary is 64,000 soms, while several employees earn around 45,000 soms.
