Not everyone in the Ministry of Construction receives a high salary; the deputy minister announced the amount of his.
He noted that there are only eight technologists and a limited number of architects in the country, which affects the level of wages. "Architects undergo training for 6-7 years, and for creating a project, they can earn from 15 to 20 dollars per square meter. Previously, projects were developed by private companies, as there was no Department of Architecture. In response to criticism from deputies, it was decided to create this department and attract qualified specialists," the deputy minister explained.
Imanakun uulu also mentioned a specific case where one of the employees earned 477,000 soms for completing a large project. However, he emphasized that such amounts are not paid regularly, and sometimes an employee may not receive a salary for several months in a row.
"Not all employees have such high incomes. In the central office of the Ministry of Construction, which consists of 45 people, salaries are formed from the budget of the Ministry of Finance, while 2,236 employees do not receive a single som from the state budget. We are the only ministry that finances itself and pays taxes. My salary is 64,000 soms, while the chief specialist of the Jogorku Kenesh receives 80,000 soms," he noted.
Previously, criticism was expressed in the Jogorku Kenesh regarding the Ministry of Construction's policy, which contributes to the rise in housing prices. Deputies also noted that the minister actively shares information on social media about the high salaries of the ministry's employees, which causes discontent.
