On January 23, 2026, a memorandum of cooperation regarding the project "Construction and Operation of the Western Bypass Road of Bishkek" was signed at the National Investment Agency under the President of the Kyrgyz Republic.
The document was signed by representatives of the Ministry of Transport and Communications, the Bishkek City Hall, OJSC "Eldik Bank", LLC "Bat Jet", and the Chinese company China National Heavy Machinery Corporation (CHMC).
The Center for Public-Private Partnership (PPP) will play an important role in supporting this project, ensuring coordination between government agencies and private companies, as well as providing methodological and institutional assistance within the framework of the PPP mechanism.
The main goal of the memorandum is to align the efforts of the parties and develop cooperation for the successful implementation of this major infrastructure project, which is expected to improve the transport logistics of the capital and reduce the load on Bishkek's road network.
This signing has become an important step in the development of PPP mechanisms in the road sector. Earlier, with the support of the PPP Center, an agreement was signed for the implementation of the project "Construction and Operation of the Eastern Bypass Road of Bishkek", aimed at improving road infrastructure, enhancing road safety, and introducing modern technologies for toll roads.
The parties expressed their interest in developing a partnership based on equality, mutual benefit, and transparency. The implementation of bypass road construction projects is seen as a key step in the development of the transport infrastructure of the capital and attracting foreign investment into the economy of Kyrgyzstan.
