A unique pilot project was presented in Bishkek, which includes a solar photovoltaic installation with a battery energy storage system (BESS). This project, developed with the support of the Ministry of Economy and Commerce of the Kyrgyz Republic, has become one of the first successful examples of integrating renewable energy sources and battery storage in the commercial sector of the country.

The technological solution, installed on the roof of one of the city buildings, utilizes advanced Korean engineering developments. The installation includes solar panels with a total capacity of about 50 kW and an energy storage system (BESS) with a capacity of 200 kWh. The entire infrastructure is managed through a digital intelligent PMS/EMS system, which optimizes energy consumption in real-time.

One of the key features of this installation is its versatility. The system can operate in grid mode (on-grid), which allows for peak load smoothing and reduces electricity costs. In the event of emergency outages, the system automatically switches to off-grid mode, ensuring the operation of the facility and microgrid even in the absence of voltage in the main grid.

As noted by the Ministry of Economy and Commerce of the Kyrgyz Republic, this project creates a practical foundation for the development of a "green" economy in the country. Such solutions not only reduce the load on the traditional energy system but also enhance the resilience of Kyrgyzstan's energy infrastructure. During the project presentation, representatives from government agencies, businesses, international organizations, and specialized educational institutions discussed the possibilities of expanding this experience to other commercial and state facilities in the republic.
