In Bishkek, the first pilot project for the integration of solar panels and BESS energy storage systems was presented » Gazeta.kg

- A presentation of a new pilot project took place in Bishkek, during which a solar photovoltaic station with a Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) was installed on the roof of one of the commercial properties. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Economy.

As indicated by the ministry, the implementation of this project was made possible thanks to the support of the Ministry of Economy and Commerce.

The technical specifications of the installation are as follows:

Power of the solar panel: about 50 kW;

Capacity of the storage system (BESS): approximately 200 kWh;

Control: digital management system PMS/EMS;

Equipment: developments by Korean engineers.

This system can operate in two modes: in grid mode (on-grid), which allows for peak load smoothing and optimization of electricity consumption, as well as in off-grid mode, which ensures power supply to the facility and operation of the microgrid during emergency outages.

According to the agency, such pilot projects contribute to creating a practical foundation for the further development of a green economy, the implementation of modern energy technologies, and the enhancement of the resilience of the country's energy infrastructure.
