The energy capacity of the system is about 200 kWh

An important milestone in the field of renewable energy took place in Bishkek — the presentation of a pilot project for the installation of a solar photovoltaic system on the roof of a building equipped with a battery energy storage system (BESS). This project has become one of the first practical steps in integrating solar generation and battery storage in the commercial sector, carried out with the support of the Ministry of Economy and Commerce of the Kyrgyz Republic.

The presentation took place at the installation site, gathering representatives from government institutions, businesses, educational organizations, and international structures.

As part of the project, an energy storage system with a capacity of about 200 kWh, a solar installation with a capacity of about 50 kW, and a digital energy consumption management system (PMS/EMS) were implemented. All technological solutions were realized using Korean equipment and innovative engineering developments.

The system allows for operation in both grid mode (on-grid), which enables peak load smoothing and optimization of electricity consumption, and in off-grid mode (off-grid), ensuring uninterrupted power supply and the functioning of the microgrid in case of emergency outages.

The Ministry noted that the implementation of such pilot projects contributes to the creation of a practical basis for the development of a green economy, the introduction of modern energy solutions, and the enhancement of the resilience of the country's energy infrastructure.
