As part of the proposed bill, it is planned to change the retention periods for credit information:
- positive information will be stored for five years instead of seven;
- negative information will be reduced from five to three years.
Furthermore, the new initiative stipulates that information on negative loans amounting to less than 10,000 soms will be stored for only one year.
The ministry believes that the adoption of this bill will create more favorable conditions for borrowers who have fallen into the blacklist and improve access to loans for both individuals and entrepreneurs.
Deputy Marlen Mamataliyev proposed to increase the limit on credit transactions for which negative information will be stored for one year to 100,000 soms. In turn, his colleague Dastanbek Jumabekov advocated for extending the retention periods for positive credit history so that banks can better assess the reliability of borrowers.
As a result of the discussion, the deputies approved the concept of the bill in the first reading.
