The deputy reported how many cars with foreign license plates did not pass legalization

At the meeting of the Jogorku Kenesh on January 14, deputy Marlen Mamataliev reported that approximately 2,000 cars have not undergone legalization.
He reminded that he had previously suggested conducting an additional legalization of vehicles with foreign license plates. However, Deputy Minister of Economy and Commerce Iskender Asylkulov stated that government agencies do not have accurate information on the number of cars needing legalization.

“The minister said that if I help determine the exact number of cars, the issue could be discussed. Now the list is ready, and it includes about 2,000 cars. There is an opportunity to conduct legalization again. Last time, it brought 1.8 billion soms to the budget. An additional campaign could also replenish the budget,” Mamataliev noted, addressing the cabinet of ministers with a request to issue the appropriate directive.
