From April 11 to 12, 2026, the eighth conference and festival "HORECA Mongolia 2026" will take place at the "Mishheel" exhibition center, organized with the support of the Ministry of Culture, Sports, Tourism, and Youth. Horecamongolia.com reports on this event.
An important direction of the Mongolian government's work is the development of tourism, which is considered a priority sector of the economy. Authorities are striving to improve standards and quality of service in this area.
This year's theme is "Gastro Nomad: Taste & Story," focusing on the culinary heritage of nomadic peoples and their historical traditions. It also supports the Ministry's strategic goals aimed at developing cultural tourism, promoting traditional Mongolian cuisine on the international stage, and enhancing the qualifications of youth in the hospitality sector.
The festival and conference will include three key elements:
- Festival "Gastro Nomad": this will feature professional competitions for chefs and bartenders, as well as master classes and special presentations dedicated to both local and international cuisine.
- Conference "HORECA": will gather outstanding speakers from 8–10 countries to discuss global trends, new standards, and innovations in the hospitality and tourism sectors.
- Exhibition "HORECA Hub Zone": here, products and services from suppliers will be showcased, along with opportunities for establishing business contacts, expanding partnerships, and attracting investments.
