
A new eruption of Mount Semeru has occurred in central Indonesia. According to the Report agency, citing information from Antara, ash rose to a height of 3,000 meters above the crater, which corresponds to 6,676 meters above sea level.
The Center for Volcanology and Geological Hazard Mitigation of Indonesia has warned residents and tourists to stay at least 5 kilometers away from the crater due to the potential for hot rocks to be ejected.
