German Ambassador Helmut Kulitz
“With the arrival of Tsagaan Sar, or the Mongolian New Year, I want to express my sincere congratulations to all the residents of Mongolia. In the upcoming Year of the Fire Horse, I wish you and your loved ones health, happiness, and prosperity!” — reports MiddleAsianNews, citing a statement from the German ambassador in Ulaanbaatar.
May this New Year bring you hope, success, and energy, and may the traditional values passed down from generation to generation over the centuries continue to unite the people of Mongolia.
For me, the upcoming Year of the Fire Horse will be my third year in the position of ambassador in Mongolia.
I want to emphasize how pleasant and honorable it is for me to be part of deepening the friendly ties between our peoples in this wonderful country. I have felt a special warmth and hospitality from the Mongolian people.
Our embassy will focus on the educational sector of Mongolia this year. As the Mongolian government has declared 2026 as the "Year of Education Support," we aim to expand cooperation in this area. Education has long been the foundation of German-Mongolian relations. A vivid example of this is the famous Mongolian writer NACAGDORJ Dashdorj, who went to study in Germany exactly 100 years ago. We will continue to work on strengthening ties between universities and vocational education.
The Year of the Horse symbolizes new beginnings, resilience, and energy. It reflects the spirit of Mongolia and our common aspirations for the future. We will continue close cooperation and strive to strengthen the partnership between our countries.
