
At the Open Masters Games in the capital of the UAE, Mongolian veterans in volleyball and basketball showed excellent results.
As previously mentioned, Abu Dhabi hosted the Open Masters Games — the largest multi-sport event in the Middle East. From February 6 to 15, over 25,000 athletes from 92 countries gathered in the city to compete in 38 disciplines, with no age or qualification restrictions.
In the men's volleyball tournament, the Mongolian team achieved the highest result, winning the gold medal in the +55 age category. They were followed by the Nomad team in second place and the Kazakhstan team in third place.
The Mongolian women's team also excelled in the volleyball tournament, earning a gold medal in the +50 age category.
As for the basketball tournament, the women's team Mongolia89 from Mongolia won the bronze medal in the +45 age category, finishing behind the Czech team in first place and the Russian team in second.
The men's basketball team from Mongolia not only took first place in the +45 age category but also won a silver medal in the tournament for teams over 45, where the first place went to a team from Moscow and third place to WINGS UAE from the UAE.
Meanwhile, the Happy89 team from Mongolia won gold in the 55+ category.
