
On February 11, the Secretary General of the Turkic Council, Kubanychbek Omuraliev, met with the heads of diplomatic missions of Turkic countries located in Geneva.
The event was attended by the permanent representatives of Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Turkey, and Uzbekistan to the UN and other international organizations in the city. The Deputy Secretary General of the Turkic Council was also present.
Omuraliev emphasized the importance of the Organization's efforts to strengthen cooperation among the member states. He noted that the visit to Geneva and meetings of customs officials contribute to the development of sustainable transport and trade.
During the discussions, the parties addressed issues related to improving coordination among the diplomatic missions in Geneva, as well as ways to enhance the visibility and representation of the Turkic Council on the international stage. Special attention was given to expanding cooperation with international organizations and other entities based in Geneva.
The permanent representatives expressed their readiness to strengthen solidarity and joint actions of the Turkic states to implement the agenda of the Turkic Council at the multilateral level and supported the Organization's initiatives in Geneva.
