On January 27, the Secretary General of the Turkic Council (TC), Kubanychbek Omuraliev, held a meeting with Namazu Hiroyuki, the Senior Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Japan.
This meeting took place in Istanbul, at the TC Secretariat building.
During the negotiations, the parties discussed issues related to the work of the TC, current projects, as well as cooperation with international and regional organizations and states.
Omuraliev emphasized the importance of exploring ways of cooperation between the TC and Japan, based on mutual interests. The relations between TC member states and observers with Japan were also discussed, as well as possible formats for interaction with third countries within the TC framework.
In addition, the participants of the meeting addressed issues related to events both in the region and beyond.
