Alexeev was urgently taken to one of the hospitals in Moscow; however, official information about his health condition is currently unavailable. Sources from RT in law enforcement agencies report that the general is in critical condition, while Telegram channels close to the security forces, such as Mash and "Baza," claim that the shots were fired at his back. In connection with this incident, a criminal case has been initiated under articles related to attempted murder and illegal arms trafficking.
Vladimir Alexeev has held the position of First Deputy Head of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Russia since 2011. He participated in the Russian military operation in Syria and was awarded the title of Hero of Russia in 2017. Additionally, the general has been awarded the Order of Merit for the Fatherland IV class and the Order of Alexander Nevsky.
