According to Umerov, the work continues in the same formats as the previous day: trilateral consultations, group work, and synchronization of positions are being conducted.

A TASS source also confirmed the start of the second day of meetings, noting that participants are discussing a number of key issues, including the economy, territorial aspects, and ceasefire mechanisms.

The first day of negotiations took place on February 4, but no official statements were made by Russia and Ukraine following it. Umerov noted that the work was "substantive and productive, with an emphasis on concrete steps and practical solutions."

The Russian delegation is headed by Igor Kostyukov, head of the Main Directorate of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation. The U.S. side is represented by Donald Trump's special envoy Stephen Witkoff and the president's son-in-law Jared Kushner. In addition to Umerov, the Ukrainian delegation includes the Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council and the head of the president's office, Kirill Budanov.
