The head of the Ukrainian delegation, Rustem Umerov, noted that "a new stage of negotiations has begun in Abu Dhabi. The process started in a trilateral format — Ukraine, the USA, and Russia. Then, work is planned in separate groups by direction, after which the participants will gather for joint synchronization of positions."
The press secretary of the President of Russia, Dmitry Peskov, stated that the Kremlin does not intend to comment on the progress of the negotiations. "At this moment, no official statements should be expected. We do not plan them," he noted.
The negotiations in Abu Dhabi are being held for the second time; the first round took place on January 23-24.
From the American side, the negotiations involve the U.S. President's special envoy Steve Witkoff and Donald Trump's son-in-law, Jared Kushner.
The Russian delegation is headed by Igor Kostyukov, the head of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the General Staff of the Armed Forces. Among the Ukrainian representatives is, in particular, the Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council, Rustem Umerov.
