This month, there has been an increase in exports, made possible by the decisions of the Mongolian government to implement a mechanism for coal sales through exchange trading, which started in February 2023. The use of this new scheme has contributed to an increase in export volumes, provided that delivery is made to border control points.
According to company data, in January 2026, revenue from the export of 204 million tons of coal amounted to 137.8 million dollars with supplies to the control points of neighboring countries.
