According to Reuters, the Japan Coast Guard has already detected an object resembling a missile. The agency also issued warnings twice about a possible missile launch, with a short interval between them.
The Coast Guard urged vessels in the area not to approach the missile debris and to immediately contact the relevant authorities. According to the Japanese Ministry of Defense, this was the first missile launch from North Korea since January 4, and the second incident in 2026.
