A citizen of Mongolia attempted to smuggle 75 kg of dried apricots and a fruit-nut mixture out of Russia.
In Buryatia, at the checkpoint "Kyakhta", employees of the Rosselkhoznadzor for the Irkutsk region and the Republic of Buryatia discovered violations regarding plant quarantine related to the export of quarantine products. This was reported by the Rosselkhoznadzor Administration.
On January 13, 2026, a citizen of Mongolia attempted to export 75 kilograms of dried apricots and a mixture of fruits and nuts without having phytosanitary certificates for these products. This action violates Part 1 of Article 25 and Part 1 of Article 32 of the Federal Law dated July 21, 2014 No. 206-FZ "On Plant Quarantine," which creates a risk of the spread of quarantine organisms.
Based on the above, an official drew up a protocol under Article 10.2 of the Administrative Offenses Code of the Russian Federation, and the products were returned to Russia for obtaining the necessary phytosanitary certificates.
