Due to strikes in the Black Sea, the tankers Delta Harmony, Matilda, and Delta Supreme were attacked. Two of them were chartered for the transportation of Kazakh oil. Fortunately, there were no casualties or injuries among the crew.
In its statement, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs expressed "serious concern" regarding such drone attacks.
“During emergency meetings with representatives of several European countries, as well as in contacts with American partners, we emphasized the need for effective measures to ensure the safety of hydrocarbon transportation, including maritime routes, in full compliance with international law,” the statement said.
Kazakhstan emphasizes that it is not involved in any armed conflicts and actively contributes to strengthening global and European energy security by ensuring uninterrupted supplies of energy resources. All tankers had the necessary permits and appropriate identification equipment.
“The increase in the number of incidents indicates growing risks to international energy infrastructure. We urge our partners to actively cooperate to develop joint measures aimed at preventing such situations in the future,” the ministry added.
The Caspian Pipeline Consortium (CPC) has been attacked before. On November 29, 2025, an attack by unmanned boats seriously damaged the offshore mooring facility. Additionally, on the night of November 25, there was a drone strike, with no casualties reported at that time.
Furthermore, on September 24, 2025, a drone damaged the city office of the marine terminal in Novorossiysk, and on February 17, an attack by seven drones incapacitated the Krupotkinskaya pumping station, one of the key facilities of the oil transport system.
