The number of victims from the crane collapse onto a train in Thailand has risen to 28 people.
According to the latest data, over 50 people were injured, and among them are those in critical condition.
This disaster occurred on January 14 in the Ban Thanon Khot area of the Sikhiu district. A construction crane used for building a railway bridge collapsed onto a train traveling from Bangkok to Ubon Ratchathani. As a result of the impact, the train derailed and caught fire, leaving passengers trapped under the debris.
According to official data, the train was moving at a high speed and collided with the fallen crane, after which the debris of the structure fell onto it.
