Prime Minister of Greenland: If We Have to Choose, We Will Choose Denmark, Not the USA

Prime Minister of Greenland and Prime Minister of Denmark
“If we are offered a choice between the United States and Denmark, our choice is obvious — we will prefer Denmark,” Nielsen noted in his speech. He also emphasized that “Greenland is not interested in belonging to the United States, does not want to be governed by Americans, and does not wish to be part of that country.”
Donald Trump, the President of the United States, had previously expressed his intentions to acquire Greenland, claiming that it was related to national security interests.
The U.S. administration even considered the possibility of purchasing the island and did not rule out the use of force for its annexation.
We remind you that Greenland is an autonomous territory of Denmark.
