Danish Prime Minister Urges Trump to Stop Threats Against Greenland

The Prime Minister of Denmark, Mette Frederiksen, responded to recent claims by U.S. President Donald Trump regarding Greenland, expressing her opinion in an official letter.
In her address, Frederiksen condemned the threats coming from American authorities towards Greenland. She noted that the assertions about the necessity of the United States seizing this region are "absolutely nonsensical."
"The U.S. has no right to annex any of the three countries that are part of the Kingdom of Denmark," the Prime Minister emphasized. She also added that the people of Greenland have clearly indicated that they are not for sale, urging Washington to stop its threats against "a historically close ally and people."
Trump's statements that control over Greenland is necessary for security were made the day before. The U.S. President noted that "Greenland is surrounded by Russian and Chinese ships, and we need it for defense."
