Akzhol Makhmudov became the Asian champion for the fourth time

Akjol Makhmudov won a gold medal at the Asian Championship in Greco-Roman wrestling, which is taking place in Bishkek in 2026.

The Kyrgyz wrestler competed in the under 77 kg category and began his journey from the 1/8 finals.

During the competition, he achieved victories over opponents from Japan, Kazakhstan, and Uzbekistan, which allowed him to reach the final.

On April 7, in the decisive match, Makhmudov faced a wrestler from Iran and managed to secure a hard-fought victory.

This award became his fourth gold medal at the Asian Championships.

The competition bracket for the under 77 kg category can be represented as follows:
