The Asian Championship in Greco-Roman wrestling is taking place in Bishkek, and Kyrgyz athlete Akjol Mahmudov has successfully reached the finals.

The competition began on April 6, and Mahmudov is competing in the under 77 kg category, starting from the 1/8 finals.

On his way to the finals, he managed to secure victories over wrestlers from Japan, Kazakhstan, and Uzbekistan.

On April 7, Akjol will fight for the gold medal and the title of Asian champion against an Iranian wrestler.
