Asian Championship in Bishkek: Iranian Player Breaks Down in Tears After 0:10 Loss. Video
On the first day of the competition, five sets of medals are being contested in Greco-Roman wrestling.
In the quarterfinals of the 55 kg weight category, the seventh-ranked wrestler in the world, Ikhtier Botirov from Uzbekistan, faced Iranian Mohammad Panahisani.
These athletes had previously met in the final of a ranking tournament in Croatia in February, where Panahisani won with a score of 2:0 and claimed the gold.
However, in Bishkek, Botirov was able to take revenge, confidently winning with a score of 10:0 in less than two minutes.
After this defeat, the Iranian could not hold back his emotions and cried right on the mat.
Now Botirov has advanced to the semifinals, where his next opponent will be Ulan Muratbek uulu from Kyrgyzstan.
