The competition, dedicated to the memory of the Honored Master of Sports of the Kazakh SSR Manarbek Ikhsanov, took place from March 4 to 9 in the capital of Kazakhstan — Astana. A total of 14 sets of medals were contested for boxers born in 2010-2011.
Kukenov competed in the weight category up to 57 kg, where 22 athletes from Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, Tajikistan, and Uzbekistan participated.
Our compatriot achieved four consecutive victories, allowing him to take first place and receive the gold medal.
