During his working visit to the People's Republic of China, Kazybek Moldazhiyev, head of the State Agency for Physical Culture and Sports of Kyrgyzstan, held a meeting with Nurlan Ermekbaev, the Secretary-General of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO).
At the meeting in Beijing, the parties discussed the possibility of deepening cooperation between the SCO member states in the field of sports and physical culture, organizing joint events, and promoting a healthy lifestyle. Moldazhiyev shared with Ermekbaev his plans for the development of sports infrastructure in Kyrgyzstan and expressed readiness to strengthen mutual ties.
Nurlan Ermekbaev, in turn, informed about the current activities of the SCO, emphasizing that sports is one of the most actively developing areas. He also highlighted the importance of the upcoming international Issyk-Kul Marathon, which has been recognized as an important project for strengthening friendship among the peoples of the participating countries and promoting a healthy society.
