Razak Beishkeyev, competing in the 72-kilogram category, reached the semifinals, where he lost to a representative from Iran. However, in the match for third place, he achieved victory over a Kazakh wrestler.
Uzur Juzupbekov in the 97-kilogram weight category faced a Russian opponent in the quarterfinals. This opponent reached the finals, which gave the Kyrgyzstani a chance to continue fighting for medals.
In the consolation tournament, Uzur Juzupbekov was able to defeat wrestlers from Azerbaijan and Iran, which allowed him to win a bronze medal.
